On the Popular Music Show this week…..
Sunday 21st - Monday 22nd June

Surreal humour and quirky lyrics about garden gnomes and owls, in a specially-recorded studio session from Northern band (and good friends of "PMS") Dalmatian Rex And The Eigentones.

In advance of the Africa Oye Festival in Sefton Park, we will feature a wonderful diversity of African and Black Music, including Daby Toure who will be playing at the Festival, and Tinariwen, who played in Liverpool earlier this year. Blues and classic doo-wop will fill out the picture.

More underground hits from the progressive era, courtesy of the superb "Creative Outlaws" compilation.

Johnny Cash remixed by, among many others, Snoop Dogg. Unbelievably, the whole album excites and surprises...

Radical experimental poetry from the iconic Bob Cobbing, from a new archive release.

Norwegian soundtracks from Spunk taking your senses to all new places.

Just a taste of the limitless musical magic on offer- Join us on the journey…!
